Building Momentum: Expanding Collaboration for a National Conversation

  • Australian Parliament House Parliament Dr, Canberra ACT 2600 (map)

This meeting will continue to build on the momentum for a National Conversation, launching the National Conversation Development Lab and report. This marks a critical moment as we move into deeper collaborative and consultative engagements with the community.

This meeting will provide an opportunity to:

  • Consider how current momentum can be leveraged to broaden consultation and deepen our engagements.

  • Examine opportunities to engage a wider range of stakeholders across governments, civil society and the community to inform next steps for the National Conversation Development Lab.

  • Identify priority actions for the next phase, including pathways for localised engagement and coordinated leadership.

Key priorities include:

  • Reviewing efforts since November and identifying areas requiring further alignment and acceleration.

  • Fostering strategic dialogue around the pathways to embed long-term governance reforms, including legislative and non-legislative options.

  • Engaging external expertise to illuminate opportunities and challenges in shaping intergenerational policy and practice.
