Future Generations Leadership Development

The Future Generations Leadership Accelerator and the Future Generations Policy Leader Toolkit, designed in partnership with the Office of the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales, equips existing and emerging leaders with critical skills for future generations leadership and policy design.

International Insights & Advocacy

Our commitment extends beyond Australian borders, recognising that the future we endeavour to protect is interconnected with the global community. Foundations for Tomorrow is part of a larger, worldwide movement aimed at creating sustainable, long-term solutions for the world.

The Awareness to Action Consultation

Foundations for Tomorrow’s flagship project - the Awareness to Action Consultation - drew together more than 10,000 responses from young Australians to share with you a youth-led proposal for a more just, equitable and sustainable Australian future.

Our Values

  • Our non-partisan approach values strong policy above partisan affiliations. Our focus is on providing the insights, support and accountability required to drive strong future generations policy in Australia.

  • We recognise that every generation has a role as stewards of the future and acknowledge that to do so successfully requires a recognition of our past. We believe that the future generations leadership practices of First Nations Australians and an accurate understanding of our shared history must be central to the creation of our future.

  • We don't just take a stand; we do so based on rigorous analysis, research, and facts. Whether through partnerships with esteemed research institutions or our dedicated internal research team, we ensure our advocacy is grounded in reality and is genuinely geared towards a better future.

  • We're built on the idea that inclusivity, diversity and collaboration make us stronger. For us, this means prioritising unity over siloed or polarised visions of the future. It's about enriching the work we do with a variety of viewpoints and experiences, working to avoid duplicating existing efforts. In doing so, we don't only craft a future for Australia, but we work to bring all Australians on the journey with us.
