Foundations for Tomorrow (FFT) is a youth-driven non-profit committed to shaping a better future for all Australians. We advocate for policies that prioritize long-term thinking and intergenerational fairness, ensuring that today's decisions create a thriving community, environment, and economy for generations to come.
What we are looking for:
We’re on the lookout for two driven Social Media & Communications Volunteers to join our team. This isn’t just any volunteer gig—it’s your chance to be at the heart of a movement shaping Australia’s future. You’ll help craft powerful messages, run our social media channels, and be a voice that influences policy.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Contribution (40%)
- Fortnightly Strategy Calls: Participate in 90-minute calls every two weeks to collaborate on communication strategies. 
- Creative Input: Contribute ideas to enhance FFT's messaging and outreach efforts. 
- Impact Analysis: Assist in evaluating communication effectiveness and suggest improvements. 
Content Creation (30%)
- Get Creative: Write blog posts, social media updates, and newsletters that grab attention and get people talking. 
- Tell Stories That Matter: Use your voice to highlight why intergenerational fairness is so crucial. 
- Stay On-Brand: Make sure everything we put out feels like FFT—authentic, clear, and inspiring. 
Social Media (30%)
- Our Platforms: Manage our social media accounts on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. 
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep an eye on what’s trending so our content stays fresh and relevant. 
- Engage with Our Community: Respond to comments and messages, and help us build a strong, active online presence.

- Strong Communicator: You’ve got a way with words and can create content that’s clear, engaging, and gets people thinking. 
- Team Player: You enjoy working with others, are open to feedback, and love to collaborate. 
- Social Media Enthusiast: You know your way around social media and can create posts that people can’t help but share. 
What We Offer

Commitment
This volunteer role requires 3-5 hours per week, including participation in fortnightly strategy calls on Monday nights. The initial commitment is for six months, with the possibility of extension.
